Hi there,

I don’t usually make posts like this but I have to make an exception this time, and I promise you’ll still like this. I recently attended this play performed at our local Glendale Community College to support fellow artist Edith Kordijan; the actress from my Monster music video herself. I, however, was amazed at the ability of this young group to perform such an energetic play and make so much sense out of every step taken. I attended to support one, I left regretting not having enough time to meet the cast one by one and show my support to all!

Each art form has its own way to be showcased. I would never want my ‘movie’ to be shown on an iPhone, for instance, because if I made it to be seen on a tv, I would want you to view it on a tv. Just like Dr. Dre’s beats are supposed to be heard on those Dre Beats ;) [Now if only I got paychecks for those plugs].

Theatre is to be seen live. The only way you can enjoy a performance is by you being there at that time. You will never know what happens, and every single performance (even if it’s the same play) is done differently. One day an actor might have a bad day and it might show/enhance their own characters’ moods.

That being said, I’m not talking about major changes, but feelings that the actors make you go through throughout the entire performance.

The Servant of Two Masters had me laughing like I did not expect, and I am here writing for you to check it out. Four lovers, a twist in the story that takes you for a roller coaster ride, then back to two stubborn fathers and their crazy servants all in Italy.

It’s a really funny, ‘Commedia dell’Arte’ for those who know a little about theatre, play. Exaggerated make up, back to the Venetian style, and those twisted-love-affairs-of-theirs, days. The entire story was put together and then the characteristics have been inspired by many comedy legends including Charlie Chaplin, The Three Stooges, and Lucy.

I checked the dates from the glendale.edu/theatre website and the show’s timings are:

November 11, 12, and 13 (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) at 8:00 PM

November 14 (Sunday) at 2:00 PM

Like I said, I usually don’t recommend things as such because you’re not obligated to do what I ask you to; nobody is. I only share opinions. But this one is a must see.

Click on the thumbnail to view the flyer even bigger for more info. That’s the highest quality/bigger image I could find of the flyer.

Here’s the event link on facebook:

Enjoy art.

Hi there, welcome back to Apotize.com, today’s article will be a vlog instead. Tattoos used to be a huge “controversial” topic, sometimes taboo, but recently have become a modern styling way, which I definitely do not agree with. Get your tattoos, be very careful of dirty needles, and take good care of the tattoo spot until it heals. Pick your tattoo after spending weeks analyzing the design and imagining having that on you for the rest of your life. Tattoo removals are very expensive and not accurate, so might as well have a good choice rather than getting one done fast. Don’t rush it. If you don’t like a designer’s design, don’t feel ashamed or scared to ask to change it. The tattoo will be on you for the rest of your life.

Oh, and from personal experience, tattoos are addicting. Believe it or not.

Enjoy =)

Much love,

Apo Avedissian
