Hello there!

I’m back, and I’m pumped with excitement and influential-motivational power to help all of you. We recently moved in to the new studios; we, being Alex Trebor and I. That being said, back to: I’m here to help you.

I’m an artist, and I know what a lot of artists go through. Most artists start with their cash in their pockets and are barely able to pay off the expenses of their hobby, but sooner than later that money will be gone, and there will be other priorities put before art for survival. I’m here to tell you that giving up on art shouldn’t be your choice. No, this is not another “don’t give up” motivational speech/post, this is about helping each other out.

I’m a photographer and filmmaker, maybe a psychiatrist on the side (nope), and I do know what artists suffer from and what they enjoy, so I’m here offering you help.

What can I help you with? Well, I can’t walk around giving scholarships to every artist around, but I sure know where you can get them from, and I sure can give advice about art it self. If you do need to ask about anything, email me through the contact link at the top of this website. The studio is my cave. I do spend a lot of time there, and if you feel comfortable enough you may even email/facebook me and after talking we can have a little meeting set up. I do need to know that you’re serious and you are ready to do work.

WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? NO ONE DOES ANYTHING FOR FREE!

Well, I do. Believe it or not, your only option is to try it your self. I’m working on getting my work out, so might as well help you, and if I win, you win. Let’s call it carpooling.

I do have the perfect mind set about getting a community of artists, and let’s be realistic here, what’s better than a group like that? Together we might make art, and some might even get a chance to add work on their resume. This isn’t a collaboration project, but individual work and advice, but if you need a collaboration happening, why not find a local and work with him or her to reach the outcome you’ve always pictured in your head. Let’s work that perfectionist in you as well.

There isn’t much time, and not everyday is a time I can work a meeting, so think about what you need, and shoot me an email if you need any help in the art industry. There are millions of dollars in the industry sitting waiting for somebody to deserve and grab it, so let’s work at it and shoot for those together.

Much love, let’s all support each other. Local artists get to visit not only email. That’s the only difference, so use your chance and work for it. I can show you how to.

You Party While I Work

To some of you, my title “you party while I work” will sound like a complaint; Actually, it isn’t. It’s the total opposite.
Let me clarify. I love this. I love writing. I love creating. This is my hobby.
Saturday night, what are you doing? Partying? Clubbing? I’m here getting work done! Why? Because I’m relaxing. My work is my vacation.

“What cause I been in the lab wit a pen and a pad
Tryna get this damn label off?” Dr. Dre

One of my favorite lines in music is this Dr. Dre line he performs in Forgot About Dre, featuring Eminem.

We sometimes like lyrics because we like the idea and the intention of it, but other times, you just happen to know what the artist is saying, and you know exactly what his position is on that topic.

Spending day and night for a week only to render a music video the way you want is what I do. Yes, OCD might have something to do with it. Perfectionism as well. But this is my work. Monster, anyone? My Vacation, go and brag about it. Haha. Alex Trebor there!

Why should I go and spend 2 hours at a hooka place when I can sit here and plan to open my own hooka place? (Just an example, no I am not opening up a new hooka place. I don’t even smoke to begin with.) I can get so much work done without having to be there. Asthma, anyone?

By now, I hope not everyone is offended because I am not targeting every single human being that goes to hooka places; hooka places are just an example. One of hundreds. My word is aimed at those who waste their full lives there and end up with nothing left. You might read this and say “I feel bad for them,” but truth is there’s a chance that anyone could just lose everything in a matter of seconds. Whether it’s fate or mistakes, it depends on your mentality, but at the end, there’s a way to better secure it not happening.

I have faith in a lot of people, and it’s sad when I see a few who lose their power and throw it on something else that does not give them any gain. It’s their lives, after all, and I have absolutely no right to “boss” them around. But it hurts seeing so much potential to create so much good, go towards the bad and gets wasted.

If you need advice, I’m always here to help. I’m not a lawyer, and I’m not certified in anything, however, I do have personal thoughts, which you are not obligated to do or follow, and are more than welcome to just hear. If you are stuck between making a decision, ask me. If your friends keep bullying you, or if you’re scared from being called names, email me. I will try and help you become the cool one and get your name out instead of being pulled back. Don’t let negativity rule you. You’re your own self, after all.

Until then, good night.

Much love,

Here’s how it’s spelled: KARMA

Hi there!
Welcome back. You’re back because I have never done anything bad to you. In fact, if I had, you wouldn’t be here reading this, now; would you?
Maybe you would, depending on your mentality, but in my case, I just believe that we have ups and downs, and you know what? Karma does sting.
First of all, if we’ve ever decided to work together, and you bailed out because of the quality of the work because of the lack of practice, here’s something for you: THIS ARTICLE!
I went through a tough time trying to find the right type of people to take pictures of when I first started doing those photoshoots; however, once the quality upgraded, I just end up getting emails from those who had canceled before. Irony? No, I don’t think so. It just happens that I have better work now, and even greater work ethics, and an amazing schedule; No, I will not do your shoot =)
Art is a collaborative project, and when one side decides to cut down an entire project, that’s like the chair breaking and falling just because ONE of the legs decided to break. I have met enough people as such, and would like to gift them this article, with a gift wrap with a pattern stamped on it saying “karma is a bitch.” Sitting on the roof of the building in the middle of the night, staring at Glendale’s lights, while blogging to you guys, is just a feeling nothing else can top when it comes to storytelling here. Plus, I can have some time off, thinking about each and every one of you who doubted. Congratulations, please keep up the support =)

I’m back, and I’m here to stay. Pissing all over the place to mark my territory. I’m more than ready to release the new work, but will keep you waiting for a while as more work gets done. If any of you haven’t heard yet, I recently joined a non-profit company and moved in a new office, and soon to move in my production studio as well. Both Alex Trebor and I have had this opportunity and have been continually working on new projects together to better our future. Everything has been going great, the models have been amazingly helpful, not to mention talented; and the staff and crew being really great!

For those who asked if I quit photography, please never ask that again. Photography isn’t something I start or quit. Photography is in me. I take pictures to tell you a story, not to show you a girl in a bikini. I write and shoot a music video to tell you a story, not to show you what effects I could copy from others. The only time I’ll stop telling a story is when I’m dead. Quote me.
I’ve been, as referred to in the hip hop industry, in the lab. Those long days and nights are finally over, and here comes sunshine. I’m up, I’m ready, and my time is here. Ladies and gentlemen, this is not even the beginning. It’s about to start soon. I’m Dr. Dre, Detox is here ;) Working hard did pay off, and after only a few months with no updates, ApoMontage.com is up with some updated art. I had taken a break from personal photoshoots until recently, and it’s been going great! I love the pace we’re all working at and I’m, as rarely as I say this, proud of the progress. No I’m not negative, I’m just a perfectionist.

Wait for the new material to come. You guys have NO IDEA where I’m headed, and you won’t until I decide to shock you. Time to get back to work now. The days are close. Work work work. My fuel =)

And just before I go, I just wanted to thank everyone who watched Monster and actually left feedback. You guys are insanely amazing and each comment you guys made filled me up with joy. Those emails were crazy as well! In a very good way crazy.

Back to the “lab”, preparing to educate while entertain you,

Much love,

Miles Ahead: The Early Start

Dear high school students,
Freshies, sophomores, and juniors generally, seniors specifically,
I have a word I need to share with you.

I used to be the kid that planned his next project out with details to the point of perfectionism. I sat down during lunch and wrote down my ideas, and the next day I made the ideas more specific, then got into details, and sooner than later, I realized the year was over, and I had done nothing in that school but plan projects. During my senior year, I decided to work on all of these projects, and put them together. I did. I built a fan base of 35,000 myspace fan list. With that being said, I got two directors (Hollywood) to work with. [Names cannot be mentioned due to legal papers insisting so]. The last two lines were not brought up for bragging, for if it was, I would’ve told you a long time ago already. I want you to know how big one can be without the need to be working under somebody or the feel to be signed under a specific record label for all these musicians out there looking to get signed.

During my senior year, I became active in the Art Academy I was referred to by my Photography teacher, Ms. Alison Stewart. I joined the Art Academy during the last two months of my senior year, and through out the work I put in, I gathered two different $500 awards and a medal for outstanding achievements.

The point here is that you need to get your act together before you look into all of these companies you want to work with, or the classes you want to take in college. I want you to take all of these alternative classes and join these clubs. You might find your real passion. Not everyone is great at what they do, but some people turn out to be amazing because of loving that path they’ve taken.

If you enjoy taking care of the sick, then go ahead and major in any medical related field. You’ll enjoy life. However, if you be a doctor because dad or mom wanted you to, there’s a problem. Dad and mom will destroy your future life without knowing it. If you want to become an artist, do your thing. Realize that you need your connections around you. A degree will take you no where if you don’t have skill nor determination. Yes, both at the same time. Find your passion and stick to it. People have made millions off of selling the most little, stupid ideas I’ve ever heard of, but hey, with enough passion, they make more than you and I and our families make, combined.

Take an early step. Do your work but stay social. You need your people. Don’t get signed too early. Don’t get hooked to a company too early. Start your own path and if someone decides to pick you up, that’s when you know you made it for your self not for impressing anybody else.

Enjoy life, and let your self enjoy it as well. Your brain needs its fun too, not only your body.
Go do your fun projects and make money while you’re at it. You’re gonna be bigger than ever, independently.

Go join these groups, have a fun class in your schedule, and aim towards success. It’s never too early. Never too early.
